Duangjai Counsel office Bangkok

Our Practice

Counsel shaped around your family

Duangjai Counsel was founded on the belief that families facing difficult transitions deserve quiet, thoughtful legal support — not urgency or pressure.

Our Story

Where Duangjai Counsel began

Duangjai Counsel was established in Bangkok by a small group of legal practitioners who had spent years working within larger firms and noticed the same pattern: families in distress were often moved through processes too quickly, without enough time to understand what was happening or to feel heard.

The name "Duangjai" carries the meaning of a kind heart in Thai — which reflects exactly the spirit we bring to every matter. Our work covers separation and divorce, child care and support arrangements, and family mediation. We work in both Thai and English, serving Thai families and international residents based in Bangkok.

We deliberately keep our practice small. This allows each person who reaches out to receive the attention their situation genuinely deserves, rather than being one case among hundreds. Every first consultation is private, and nothing moves forward without your understanding and comfort.

Our Standards

How we handle every matter

Professional Confidentiality

All information shared with us is protected under professional legal obligations. We do not disclose details to any party without your explicit consent.

Thai Bar Association Standards

Our legal professionals are licensed members of the Thai Bar Association and maintain their knowledge of Thai civil and family law through ongoing professional development.

Clear Written Records

Every consultation produces a written summary. Every agreement is drafted in plain language and reviewed with you before it is considered final.

Bilingual Practice

We work in both Thai and English. Documents can be prepared bilingually, and each client is served in the language they feel most confident using.

Dedicated Case Handling

You will work with the same counsel throughout your matter. We do not pass cases between staff members. Continuity matters when trust has been established.

Transparent Timelines

We will always be honest about how long your matter is likely to take. We do not create a sense of urgency where none exists.

Our Approach

Family law counsel in Bangkok, handled with care

Family legal matters in Thailand involve a specific set of civil law provisions, most governed under the Civil and Commercial Code. Duangjai Counsel's team has spent over a decade working within this framework — understanding not only the formal requirements but the practical paths that allow families to reach resolution without unnecessary conflict.

Our work spans three core areas: helping individuals understand their position and options during separation; helping parents reach child care and financial arrangements in their children's interests; and supporting families who wish to take a cooperative approach through structured mediation and clear agreement drafting. Each area is handled at a pace the family sets.
